Seeing as these materialised in exactly the same spot as the aliens from the planet Kohl Rabi, I suspect the latter, and that in Valley Organics lies, in fact, a gateway to an alien micro-dimension.
If the security bolt on our front door is still drawn, it means neither Clare, Joe nor I have left the house since we got up. If it’s still drawn at 4pm, you can guess what kind of day it has been. There are many buildings in Hebden Bridge still in some state of repair or other following the Boxing Day disaster, though to be strict about it, this place — the old Hole in the Wall pub (last pictured fulfilling that role some time in November 2012) — was being rebuilt months before that happened. Still some way to go too, if this sneaky look inside is anything to go by.

Joe was born in March 2003, meaning that very soon I will be starting on my first and, assuredly, last experience of being the father of a teenager. He looks ready for it; no idea if I am.
