In 2017, particularly since early June, I have been quite mobile, with lots of photos taken elsewhere. Where there have been bouts of time spent mainly at home they haven’t lasted long. But for the rest of the year, at least, this will change; if I do go elsewhere it’ll be for a walk or a football match, and that’ll be all. We are on Hebden time for a while. I hope I seem happier about this than this dog did today.
Back in January 2015 Ellie (left, at that time aged 8 months) and Maggie (right) appeared on the blog in consecutive days; here they are together. Hard to credit that in the intervening 18 months Ellie has grown from a baby into a little girl with an entire functioning vocabulary. Time passes, we all change…
I’m trying to feel like this. It’s possible, if I just focus on my immediate locality.
I know a few dog/owner couples — connoting not just the usual doggy relations but where the two actively look alike. For an example of what I mean, well, see here….
And a good move on the cat’s part, seeing as today was quite possibly the worst day of weather of 2015; a foul, foul day. Note the hands of the photographer reflected in the window; but I’m the one out in the cold, wind and rain.
I am here in Dundee to finish off writing a paper with my colleague Annalisa and this task was undertaken today at her house; and this is the man of said house. The rest of us are just staff. Milo becomes the third cat in a row to feature on this blog where I’ve known its name, after Harry and Mathilda, the last two CCSs (Cheap Cat Shots).
Those who know their ice-cream, know why.
I’ve known various feline flirts in my time but Mathilda is up there with the best of them, and — sat in the same place as last time — she thus becomes only the fourth animal to definitely appear more than once on this blog. How do I know she is called Mathilda? She told me.
A stupendous morning. With our house guests (see yesterday) having brought Maggie the labrador I took the opportunity to make the most of it. I never quite got a version of this shot that was fully what I wanted but this is near enough.
The hardest thing about keeping this blog going on a daily basis is carrying on finding inspiration on days like this, spent working at home. It’s easy when I’m on the road. This week I was supposed to be going to Sweden again, but it’s been cancelled due to a colleague’s illness. So in the absence of that kind of thing, here’s another picture of the tables outside the pub on a nice sunny evening.
