Tools of Monday

Monday 7th December 2020, 10.35am (day 3,392)

Work at home, 7/12/20

The allocation of Mondays as designated stay-at-home days seems to have become a set pattern. Tools of my particular trade: the Mac, the backup disk, and we are at the time of year where the 2021 diary needs to come to the fore. It ain’t high adventure I know, but at the moment it’s what there is.

View from today’s thinking spot

Monday 1st June 2020, 9.45am (day 3,203)

Tree sky sun view, 1/6/20

Enjoy the sunshine, as the Westerlies will be making their annual return in a couple of days. The woods over the road have become a vital source of space and fresh air, a place to clear the head in the morning and crank it up for another week’s work obligations. This is one of the very rare occasions on which I’ve done no post-processing to the image at all — this is exactly as the camera holds it.

Monday 10th February 2020, 7.55am (day 3,091)

L. S. Banksy, 10/2/20

Another early morning in Manchester. The difference in the light, bearing in mind the 45 minute gap from the time of Friday’s shot, shows the current clocking on time for the sun. I love the details on this shot, the graffiti and the print.

In very early (for a Monday morning)

Monday 18th June 2018, 7.35am (day 2,489)

Uni, early, 18/6/18

After three days in a rather blue theme, let’s go monochrome, which seems somehow fitting for the fact I was in work so early this morning this car park hadn’t even begun filling up. Still, it’s my only day in Manchester this week, so let’s be acceptant of it all.

A December Monday morning

Monday 2nd December 2013, 9.40am (day 830)

Monday morning, 2/12/13

Cross Street, Manchester. Some of us are on our way to work, past the guys opening up the Christmas market. I’ve talked myself into liking this shot even though it’s out of focus. It was how I felt this morning.
