Tuesday 11th July 2017, 9.30am (day 2,147)
Another trip to London…. but just for the day. Platform 8, Leeds station, to which I returned approximately ten hours later. The first precisely timed shot for a while.
I did consider giving you another photo from my Saturday night out, but taken at 1.30am so it would have counted for today. But in the end I preferred this one, taken on the train to London as we waited for it to depart from Leeds station. I have no idea who the magazine photo is of, but it’s a damn good picture.
The pattern of photos on this blog is a simple reflection of my life. So as I spend a healthy proportion of my time in railway stations, there are a lot of photos of railway stations. Two in a row with this one and its nice lines and patterns. Like this woman Clare and I too were waiting for the evening train to London, in our case for a night out. I do have a social life you know.
Work trip down south today. Change trains at Leeds. Leeds probably ranks third on the list of ‘Drew’s most frequently-visited railway stations’ (after Hebden Bridge and Manchester Victoria, but ahead of Preston and King’s Cross). This section of it seems to have turned a shocking pink colour in the last few weeks for no immediately obvious reason.
