Saturday 1st April 2017, 5.10pm (day 2,046)
An inactive day, even indolent, but this was much needed. Sunny later, with the promise of spring in the air and look, Japan — we have blossoms too!

Wettest day for months today — a pretty grim day all round. I was not the only one who’d rather have been inside. Fortunately I spent most of it working at home, and this was a photowhack — the one and only picture I took today.

Still sunny… but that little bit chillier, as we pass the Equinox and head into autumn.

Perhaps this shot would have been better with either one group or the other, but I like the split-screen nature of it with both. A nice evening in Hebden Bridge, much more amenable weather than in Manchester for most of the day, which is where I was.

Back in January 2015 Ellie (left, at that time aged 8 months) and Maggie (right) appeared on the blog in consecutive days; here they are together. Hard to credit that in the intervening 18 months Ellie has grown from a baby into a little girl with an entire functioning vocabulary. Time passes, we all change…

Sunday afternoon, and a lazy one. Well, it was a very warm and sunny day and the last few days have been busy enough.
I know a few dog/owner couples — connoting not just the usual doggy relations but where the two actively look alike. For an example of what I mean, well, see here….
My nephew Tom and their family’s dog, Bella, enjoy a leisurely moment on Christmas afternoon. A happy festive season to you all, wherever you are and whatever you may have done.
Look at someone’s home space as opposed to a designed environment like a chain store, and everything will just feel a lot more natural in the former, because the space has grown naturally. Sometimes I feel this is also true of charity shops like this one, which is why they make more interesting subjects. The dog is just a temporary visitor, but does his/her bit too.
Three days of work to go. For me, that is. This is how I feel.
