Pictured in the Hole in the Wall pub, at the stub end of another week. Is it the end of term yet?
Haven’t been feeling very inspired lately but a few moments of good light in a grey day, a lot of cropping and going monochrome raise the interest here. This is one of the University’s more laid-back corners, a café located in what, about 100 years ago, was the main campus library.
I don’t really do Hallowe’en myself, but others do, and it’s a good photo opportunity at least. Like, for this tender mother-and-son shot. Aren’t they cute.
Tattoo, stage 2. It’s still not finished. It’ll be worth the pain, that’s what I keep telling myself.
Warming up for Hallowe’en, the old Nutclough Tavern in Hebden Bridge puts in a bid for ‘spooky castle’ status, unfazed by a stiff recent challenge from the Beyer building at the University.
Although duller and wetter than Friday and Saturday, today brought a very decent, and proper, weekend to an end, one I very much needed. Had gone through the last two blog posts without drawing any attention to how good the colours are in Hebden Bridge at the moment, so this is my attempt to make up for it. This is taken on the street of Old Gate.
Beautifully sunny day today, the sort of day that makes you realise why we have autumn. We also have a ‘Food Festival’ in town at the moment, including a stall on which these gentlemen were making fresh pizza, and though I didn’t eat any it was definitely worth watching.
It’s Clare’s birthday today so I let her have final choice on today’s photo. This was taken somewhere over the UK as we came into the final half hour of my flight back into Manchester airport this morning. A mouth? Lips? Had I got this a couple of seconds earlier you would have seen an almost perfect heart (as in the card suit shape) below the line. Anyway – happy birthday dear 🙂 XXX
The view from my hotel room. This is my last night in Moscow…. until next time.
