My office (for the first time)

Thursday 13th December 2012, 8.55am (day 476)

476 days into doing this blog and this is the first time my campus office has appeared on it. It’s not a very inspiring place, at least, not photographically, and it faces north so it never gets any decent light. At least, so I thought – until this morning, when some strange coincidence of angle and reflection bathed it for about sixty seconds in golden sunlight. It was nice while it lasted – and means it can finally make it onto the blog. I confidently predict you’ll be seeing no more of it for the foreseeable future.

Mirka’s unnecessarily large pot plant

Temporarily exiled to another office this morning while the lock on my door was being repaired, it did cross my mind that my colleague Mirka has a bowl of remarkably extensive foliage on her desk.

11:11:11, 11/11/11

Friday 11th November 2011, 11.11am (day 78)

I did very little today except print & frame a bunch of photos so I can try to sell some at this craft fair tomorrow (my first effort to do such a thing – you will doubtless hear more about it tomorrow). The light was poor, and there were few opportunities to get more than a mundane shot.

However, as these are supposed to encapsulate the day – it was 11/11/11 today, and this was taken in my home office at exactly 11:11:… and 14 seconds, by the camera’s clock. Well, I did my best. It doesn’t have a second hand.
