Today was tough to get through whether photographically or otherwise. This shot means nothing, except maybe to show that it’s getting lighter in the evenings. But only astronomically.
Today was tough to get through whether photographically or otherwise. This shot means nothing, except maybe to show that it’s getting lighter in the evenings. But only astronomically.
The traffic lights say go, for what cars there are. No social commentary today, I just like the effect of a fairly long zoom down Brook Street, taken on my way to the office.
First time on the 6:31 train in a while, and first time rising before the sun in many months. There is something pleasant about it, but only when it is the exception: I do not envy those who have to do this kind of thing all winter.
With seven of the last eight shots, including this one, being taken in Hebden Bridge, and with a distinct lack of people in them, you can deduce that on the whole I have been indoors writing. It’s gone well, but it doesn’t make for very exciting photography. I am reduced today to a shot of the lights for the roadworks outside our house, which I’m sure drivers will be happy to hear had no sign of human presence today either. Only the lights were putting the hours in.
The immediate vicinity… being that region around my house (not quite visible on this shot)… which I did not leave today, at least not in any meaningful photographic way. The red lighting is explainable by being under the traffic lights at this point: one could get a green-tinted version of the same shot if one so desired.
Not a very exciting day, nor one that necessarily made me feel good about the wider world, so this being Manchester at the moment, here’s a picture of a bloke in a high-vis vest doing something building- or roadworks-related. There’s a lot of it about. At least it’s now the weekend.
Not very exciting I know, but then there’s not much outwardly going on at the moment on campus — though seeing as the A-level results are out, probably rather more behind the scenes. There is a sort of underlying green-ness to this shot that I quite like, however.
Day 888, so a neat day numerically, but I’m still laid low by whatever virus it is that has taken up residence in my body so my horizons have shrunk somewhat. What is this abstract? A footway sign, the flare from a street lamp, and steam from a neighbour’s heating vent illuminated by the traffic light behind.
