Sometimes one just has to admit that all the photos one took in a given day are fundamentally crap. This was one of those days. So here’s a crap photo… but of a good night out, first here, then the Picture House across the road (The One-Hundred Year Old Man Who Jumped Out Of A Window And Disappeared — long title, great movie).
This doesn’t happen that often, but when it does it’s kind of impressive. The dry dock at Hebden Bridge marina is fully functional, and as you can see, well placed for a half-decent pub.
Pictured in the Railway. I need to find variety; day 1,000 came towards the beginning of a full month of time, 31 days (16th May – 15th June) where I will only have one photo outside Hebden Bridge and Manchester, on 29th May. Motivation to keep this blog going comes from the different places I visit, but I also like finding the different shots from familiar territory as well.
Well, one can read just about wherever one likes, so yes, that is a pint also close at hand. Seasoned Drew followers will probably recognise the location of this shot.
These two have appeared on the blog before, several times each — though not, I think, together; which is odd because together is how they always are. Of all the human/animal couplings I know Steve and Tara are the most symbiotic.
Another familiar scene, but these are my habits. Special guest appearances by Mr Steve Grey (right) and a couple from Bradford, so they said.
Never seen the point of this particular puzzle myself — but Clare likes it and it’s good brain-exercise for the Boy. Sunday afternoon in the pub: a relaxing weekend comes to a close.
Second evening in a row at the pub – naughty, naughty. A birthday celebration for our friend Steve, these are the remnants of his very nice birthday cake going up in smoke. Yes, we could have recycled. But it’s cold out.

Well, this has been a fairly unreconstructed weekend — a Friday night out and a Saturday afternoon in the pub, too. The results in the Championship are nothing to speak of at the moment, however. But that does not mean that going out is unenjoyable.
