Reasonably typical behaviour for a Saturday, if I’m being honest. In any case, the West Riding Refreshment Rooms at Dewsbury station is the kind of pub worth specifically travelling to: or just drop in, if changing trains. The watcher on the window sill reminds us that it’s late October.
These two certainly look like they’re having a jolly time on their respective Saturday lunchtimes in Hebden Bridge. But perhaps they just feel about Halloween much the same as I do — it’s intrusive and over-the-top, and we could probably do without it.
The efforts of all those highly transient squash (or possibly pumpkin) flowers earlier in the year have resulted in precisely one pumpkin (or possibly squash) growing in house or garden. And here it is. Whether it will be big enough to carve faces in come the end of this fresh month — we will just have to wait and see…
