Well, I assume he’s rolling a cigarette, but perhaps he might just be playing a tune on the world’s smallest harmonica.

Last day in Manchester for a fortnight, anyway. If things work out — I have, let’s say, a logistically complex next 72 hours, but the payoff will be good if it does…

Circle Square rises

Circle Square, 18/10/16

Point one’s camera in almost any direction in Manchester these days and one will hit a building site. This particular one — to be known, once complete, as ‘Circle Square’ (you have to cringe just a little bit) —  is on the site of the old BBC building. Creative destruction….? Something to record, at least.

Working outside (unlike me)

I committed to spending the whole day in, working at home, and it turned out to be the nicest weather in some time. Ah well. This guy, at least, got to do some work outside today, up on the roof of the Nutclough Mill.

Working on the windows

One assumes that he fitted through the window on the way out, so will also fit through on the way back. Otherwise, he’s in difficulty — there is nothing below him except a ten-foot drop to the Rochdale Canal.
