Monday 11th April 2016, 3.55pm (day 1,691)

I assume this is all postmodern and ironic. Then again, perhaps it is post-postmodern and they actually mean it.
A good subject to mark this numerical milestone — day 700 of the blog, and in all those 700 pictures, Joe is the person who has appeared the most times. But I have no problem adding him again today; when I saw him looking out of our hotel room window in Brighton this morning, I had to take it.
Because it’s a round number, I’ll update the Best of the Rest page later and the Stats too, if I get around to it…
Is there a voyeuristic aspect to this shot? I like the light, the pattern of the branches contrasted with the brick, the facelessness of it.
Spent most of the day working at home and otherwise around familiar haunts. Only the six-monthly visit to the dentist’s gave opportunity for much variety and even then I had done the ‘treatment’ picture already. So here’s an abstract.
I am trying hard not to repeat myself on this blog. That means that there are some photo possibilities which I’ve had my eye on for a while, but been saving, as they could then be used on one of those days on which I did not leave the immediate area, just sat and worked, and there were no particularly decent views outside.
Today was one of those days.
It was also the 150th day of the blog, which means I’ve updated the ‘Best of the Rest‘ page with some more shots that didn’t quite make it. Enjoy…
