Emptying the shelves

Empty shelves, 17/3/19

There was excitement to the day, but this came courtesy of Brighton & Hove Albion FC coming from 2-0 down with two minutes to go and still go through at Millwall in the FA Cup quarter-final; but the only photographic record of it is a selfie of me looking worryingly manic, so I will spare you that. Not much else to show however; we are clearing out the bedroom (not easy in a house with very limited spare space) in preparation for decorating it, and the unusually empty shelves are the best I can do. The film books still remained to be packed as of this morning, but they’ve gone now. The sheep skulls have not…

Rebuilding the Co-op

Rebuilding Co-op, 12/3/16

The Co-operative supermarket in Hebden Bridge has been closed since the morning of 26th December when, like the rest of the town centre, it was submerged under six feet of water.  You still can’t go in but I took this shot through the door. The rebuilding continues and apparently it will be fully open again by next weekend.

Putting up the shelves

Putting up shelves, 8/4/12

Since Thursday we’ve been redecorating our bedroom but it’s not a particularly exciting series of events. Still, it deserves to get on this blog at some point, as the site is intended to reflect the full range of my life’s activities. Except on this day, we got the experts in to help – i.e., my Dad. I don’t trust my shelving skills. Thus, this is my father’s first appearance on this blog – and thanks to him today for his sterling work.
