The message on the one side is clear enough — but the bin? More proof that others are starting to lose it thanks to lockdown? Or perhaps they have always been the same.

My walking route from Manchester Victoria station to my office has been finely worked out down the years. Chancery Lane is another one of my alleys, passed while I negotiate a way round the Town Hall district that, as far as possible, doesn’t involve other people, whether in vehicles or on foot. Normally I would despair of bins appearing in a shot, as they would normally spoil it, but here I’m trying to embrace them.
Stats trivia…. the longest run of pictures on this blog, thus far, that were taken only in either Hebden Bridge or Manchester was 20 (15/4/12 – 4/5/12). Today is number 13 of the current run and with no plans to really go anywhere, by Wednesday next week the record will probably be broken. Time to find inspiration in very familiar places therefore. Like these wheelie bins on Princess Street on another grey and misty morning.
