Which is less savoury — the graffiti, or the notices which pepper this wall and try to keep the space private and enclosed? At weekends, at least, the town could do with the parking spaces. Eventually someone will come and paint over the street art, but the warning signs will remain.

The graffiti is less savoury. The parking signs are there to facilitate the health centre staff in providing services to the community. The graffiti is ugly, stupid vandalism which is there to support an adolescent, egotistical urge to shout ‘fuck you’ and ‘look at me’ in everyone’s faces
The spaces are unused at weekends when the health centre is closed. If the desire is to provide services to the community, then as weekends are very busy in Hebden Bridge, all it would take is to add “Monday – Friday” or something similar to the warning notices, and then we have the best of both worlds.
